“Allah SWT memerintahkan
beliau menikahi banyak wanita agar sunnah-sunnah yang tidak tampak

1. Menikahi Janda Adalah Anugrah
Memilih menikahi janda
bisa dikategorikan tindakan yang akan membawa berkah dan juga anugerah
bagi kita. Apalagi kalau niatnya karena Allah untuk melindungi janda
tersebut dari fitnah atau hal buruk lainnya yang mungkin bisa terjadi.
Dari Abu Hurairah, berkata, “Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
“Orang yang berusaha
menghidupi para janda dan orang-orang miskin laksana orang yang berjuang
di jalan Allah. Dia juga laksana orang yang berpuasa di siang hari dan
menegakkan shalat di malam hari.” (HR. Bukhari no. 5353 dan Muslim no.
2982)
2. Menikahi Janda Bisa Mendatangkan Rejeki
Menikahi seorang janda
dengan niat yang baik karena ingin mengangkat derajatnya agar tidak
diremehkan orang lain termasuk perilaku yang terpuji.
Insya Allah akan mengganti dengan banyak kebaikan tanpa terkecuali diberikan rejeki yang cukup.
“Nikahilah wanita,
karena akan mendatangkan harta bagi kalian”. (HR. Hakim 2679 dan dinilai
ad-Dzahabi sesuai syarat Bukhari dan Muslim).
3. Menikahi Janda yang Mempunyai Anak Sama Halnya Dengan Menyantuni Anak Yatim
Kita tahu bersama bahwa
anak yatim adalah anak yang ditinggal mati ayahnya. Anak seperti inilah
yang dikatakan yatim dan punya keutamaan untuk ditolong karena
penanggung nafkahnya sudah tiada.
Jika ada yang menikahi janda karena ingin menolong anaknya, maka ia akan dapat keutamaan besar menyantuni anak yatim.
Dari Sahl ibnu Sa’ad, dari Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam, beliau bersabda,
“Kedudukanku dan orang
yang menanggung anak yatim di surga bagaikan ini.” [Beliau merapatkan
jari telunjuk dan jari tengahnya, namun beliau regangkan antara
keduanya]. (HR. Bukhari no. 5304).
