Pemerintah Singapura telah mengonfirmasi adanya virus monkeypox atau cacar monyet di negara mereka.
Virus tersebut terbawa oleh seorang warga Nigeria yang berkunjung ke Singapura pada 28 April 2019 dan ia terbukti positif mengidap cacar monyet pada 8 Mei.

Dikutip Tribunnews dari Kompas.com, cacar monyet merupakan penyakit langka yang disebabkan virus.
Penyakit ini ditularkan pada manusia melalui hewan, seperti tikus atau hewan pengerat lainnya, terutama di kawasan Afrika Tengah dan Barat.
Seseorang bisa terkena virus cacar monyet melalui kontak darah, cairan tubuh, atau mukosa (selaput lendir, red) hewan yang terinfeksi.
Lalu, bagaimana gejala cacar monyet?
Dikutip dari World Health Organization (WHO) via Kementerian Kesehatan, gejala cacar monyet baru timbul 14 hingga 21 hari sejak pertama kali terinfeksi virus.
Sebelum gejala muncul, cacar monyet biasanya diawali dengan periode inkubasi selama enam sampai 16 hari.
Penderita akan mengalami demam, sakit kepala hebat, pembengkakan kelenjar getah bening, sakit punggung, nyeri otot, dan kekurangan energi selama lima hari.
Ruam mulai muncul dari wajah hingga menyebar ke seluruh tubuh penderita setelah terjadi demam selama satu hingga tiga hari.

Periode tersebut dinamakan periode erupsi kulit. Dalam kurun waktu 10 hari, luka berevolsi menjadi lepuhan berisi cairan, bintil, dan akhirnya kerak.
Untuk mengilangkan kerak bekas cacar ini setidaknya membutuhkan waktu tiga minggu.
Terkait penemuan kasus cacar monyet pertama di Singapura, Kasubdit Penyakit Infeksi Emergong Kementerian Kesehatan dr Endang Budi Hastuti mengatakan pemerintah saat ini belum memutuskan melakukan pemeriksaan ekstra bagi warga asing yang berada di Indonesia.

“Untuk saat ini belum ada arahan untuk pemeriksaan ekstra bagi tamu asing,” ungkap dr Endang kepada Tribunnews.com, Selasa (14/5/2019).
Ia menambahkan bahwa saat ini belum ada vaksin khusus untuk pencegahan cacar monyet.
Karena itu Kemenkes mengimbau masyarakat untuk mencegah tertular cacar monyet dengan menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat.
Seperti rajin mencuci tangan menggunakan sabun. Berikut pencegahan tertular cacar monyet yang bisa dilakukan :

1. Menghindari kontak dengan tikus dan primata terinfeksi, serta membatasi paparan langsung terhadap darah dan daging yang tidak dimasak dengan baik.
2. Membatasi kontak fisik dengan orang yang terinfeksi atau bahan yang terkontaminasi harus dihindari.
3. Memakai sarung tangan dan pakaian pelindung lainnya yang sesuai saat menangani hewan yang terinfeksi atau merawat orang sakit.
4. Terapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat.

Batam dan Riau Waspada
Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut pun sejumlah wilayah yang menjadi perbatasan dengan Indonesia pun mulai di perhatikan.
Seperti mengutip dari Kompas.com, Dinas Kesehatan (Dinkes) Provinsi Riau pun meminta pengawasan di bandara serta pelabuhan.
“Sampai sejauh ini belum ada informasi adanya kasus monkeypox di Riau, namun tetap waspada sehubungan adanya penerbangan langsung Singapura-Pekanbaru,” kata Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Riau, Mimi Yuliana Nazir dalam keterangan tertulis yang diterima Kompas.com, Senin (13/5/2019).
Ia pun meminta pihak Bandara Internasional Sultan Syarif Kasim (SSK) untuk memasang Thermal Detection.
Dinkes Riau juga menghimbau kepada para petugas untuk memeriksa suhu tubuh penumpang yang datang dari Singapura serta Batam.
“Kita juga meminta dilakukan pengawasan di pelabuhan-pelabuhan laut di Riau yang mempunyai alur masuk dari Batam,” jelasnya.
Sama halnya dengan yang dilakukan oleh Dinkes Riau, Dinas Kesehatan Kota Batam juga melakukan berbagai macam persiapan untuk mencegah virus Monkeypox tersebut.
Melansir dari Tribunnews.com yang dikutip dari Tribun Batam, Pihak Dinkes Kota Batam bekerja sama dengan Kepolisian Kawasan Pelabuhan (KKP).
Dinkes kota Batam juga meminta otoritas berwenang untuk memasang sejumlah thermal detector khusus di pelabuhan Internasional.

Hal ini terutama jika ada wisatawan luar negeri terutama dari Singapura ke wilayah Kota Batam.

“Saat ini kita belum ada indikasi warga luar yang terinfeksi cacar monyet masuk ke Batam, namun kita sudah melakukan langkah awal dengan memasang thermal detector,” kata Didi Kusmarjadi, Kadinkes Batam, Minggu (12/5/2019).


Dia mengatakan saat ini khusus warga Batam dan warga Singapura dan Malaysia yang keluar masuk dari pelabuhan internasional, dilakukan pemeriksaan.
